FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The interview is conducted via video conferencing such as Zoom, Skype, or Facetime. Basic knowledge of doing video conferencing is required.
The mock interview will be tailored specifically for you, similar to what you will have during an actual interview based on your eligibility.
We will go over your application, have basic conversation, do the civics test and the English reading and writing test.
At the end of the interview, our associate will go over the answers with you, provide you some tips for the interview and address any questions you have.
None of the video sessions is recorded by us and we do NOT allow clients to record the sessions either due to privacy concerns.
California's wiretapping law is a "two-party consent" law. California makes it a crime to record or eavesdrop on any confidential communication, including a zoom session, a private conversation or telephone call, without the consent of all parties to the conversation.
First, we do not record any of the sessions.
During the mock interview, our associate will ask you about certain personal information such as your birthday or your travel history, just like the real naturalization interview.
This is to simulate the format of the actual interview and also test your ability to understand the questions.
If you do not feel comfortable to share any of your personal information during the interview, you can either make up a date/number or let the interviewer know that you understand the questions but do not wish to share the details.
You can click on the following link to schedule your session(s) after you've purchased the classes. Sessions scheduled without an order number will be deleted.
During scheduling, you have the option to provide some information related to your N-400 case. This will help us to tailor the interview specifically for you. However, this is completely optional.
Life happens sometimes so if it is necessary to cancel or reschedule your scheduled appointment, we require that you let us know at least 24 hours’ in advance of your scheduled appointment to avoid cancellation / rescheduling fees.
Exceptions to this policy will be considered on a case by case basis.
A “no-show” is someone who misses a scheduled appointment without canceling or rescheduling 24 hours in advance of their scheduled appointment. “No-shows” will be charged 100% of the session amount. Session amount is different than the price listed on our booking page.
If you arrive 10 minutes late or more, your appointment time will be reduced by the amount of time you were late to accommodate the next client’s scheduled appointment.
